The Ethernet Alliance demo shows how Ethernet scalability and interoperability power AI, HPC and next-generation networks.
Beaverton, Oregon, September 16, 2025 – The Ethernet Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to the continued success and advancement of Ethernet technology, announced that it will showcase the future of Ethernet innovation at its 51st European Communications Conference (ECOC 2025) from September 29 to 2025, in Copenhagen, Denmark, September 29 to October 1, and October 1, 2025.
At ECOC 2025 booth number C1419, the Ethernet Alliance presents a live multi-vendor demonstration, including 100g to 800g to 800g, optical and copper-connected real-time displays supporting linear pluggable optics (LPOs). The demo highlights the ability of Ethernet to provide the large-scale bandwidth, low latency and flexible provisioning required to train and deploy large, complex AI models. By ensuring that diverse systems interoperate seamlessly, this indicates that preparations for Ethernet deployment will be deployed, removing bottlenecks that can slow AI research, product development, and real-time inference, making the benefits of new AI technologies more widely available.
“Ethernet connects our digital world. Linking AI clusters, enabling high-speed data centers, and supporting these demanding networks is unparalleled.” “This is not technology for technology. We see what we can achieve when we treat this as a team sport.”
Some of the Ethernet Alliance members participating in this year’s demonstration include Alphawave Semi (LSE: AWE), Amphenol Corporation, Cisco Systems, Inc., Formerica Optoelectronics, Inc., Huawei Corporation, Keysight Technologies Inc., MultiLane, Inc., Inc., Incsys, Inc.
“Ethernet is an evolving, interdependent ecosystem, and interoperability is where that promise comes to life,” said David J. Rodgers of EXFO, president of the Ethernet Alliance and chairman of the Events and Conference Committee. “This demo is a window into the future connecting the planet’s most powerful computational engines with the same reliability, scalability and efficiency that Ethernet has defined it for decades. For AI, promises are ready to settle evolution with faster times, more sensitive applications, and technology.”
“The Alphachip1600 I/O Chiplet was designed as a true ecosystem first solution. Integrating industry-leading IP into this chiplet will support plug-and-play Ethernet interoperability across the networking landscape. Alphawave Semi, President of IP Product Marketing and Management. “This partnership not only accelerates the market to customer time, but continues to surge in future proofs as bandwidth demands. Seeing the Alphachip1600 in operation with the demonstration of Ethernet Alliance ECOC 2025 interoperability highlights the way collaboration standards provide performance to robust ecosystems.”
