Boeing delivered 63 jetliners to customers last month, bringing its annual deliveries to 600, the most in seven years, but production has since been slowed by two fatal crashes and a host of other problems. Boeing announced Tuesday that 44 of those deliveries were 737 Max aircraft.

Airbus delivered more planes than Boeing last year, with 793, but that total is lower than the record 863 the European manufacturer delivered in 2019. Airbus’ net orders for 2025 were 889 aircraft.

Engine and other supply chain issues continue to slow aircraft deliveries. Delivery times are important to aircraft manufacturers because airlines pay most of a jet’s price when they receive the aircraft.

Boeing executives are scheduled to discuss the manufacturer’s production plans when the company reports its quarterly results on Jan. 27.
