Enterprise Automation Index 2025 is now available

FRISCO, Texas – July 16, 2025 – Redwood Software, a leader in automation fabric solutions, today announced the release of its comprehensive research report, “Enterprise Automation Index 2025,” which unveils the current state of enterprise automation and artificial intelligence (AI) preparation. Reports representing data collected by the panel via the opinions of independent research firm Leger reveal important trends, investment patterns and emerging gaps in enterprise automation maturity.

Based on a survey of 285 automation practitioners across the industry, including manufacturing, retail and finance, the findings illustrate a complex situation. Meanwhile, 73.2% of companies have increased their automation investment over the past year, while the majority of 61.3% acknowledge that automation tools are underutilized due to fragmented strategies, implementation of Syred and the need for reliable or kilossification partners.

Based on the response, what are your overall business priorities for 2025? Reduce costs. Supporting that prioritization, 36.6% said automation reduced costs by at least 25%, while 12.7% said costs were reduced by more than 50%.

“This research confirms what we see across the industry. Automation is no longer great. It’s mission-critical,” says Kevin Green, CEO of Redwood Software. “But there are opportunities to grow. Investments are increasing and results have been proven, but recruitment is stagnant. Organizations that overcome these barriers will overcome the right tools, education and strategic support.

Important findings from the Enterprise Automation Index 2025:

68.8% of organizations that automation is mission-critical or very important to the success of their business and that SAY organizations are very important to the success of their organizations, but that automation has been reduced by at least 25% 48.6%.
