Schneeberger has announced the establishment of a production facility for its industry-leading mineral casting technology.

July 21, 2025 – Schneeberger has announced the establishment of a production facility for its industry-leading mineral casting technology in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This expansion brings the company closer to its customers and allows for faster, more economical delivery based on a mineral cast machine.
Production is expected to begin on-site by the fourth quarter of 2025. This strategic investment is in line with Schneeberger’s key long-term goals.
Customer Proximity: With new production facilities, Schneeberger can respond more quickly to the needs of its North American customers and provide tailored solutions immediately. Market Development: This expansion demonstrates Schneeberger’s commitment to the North American market, representing a key step in market growth, furthering its corporate strategy of “local for locals.” With production sites already established in Europe and China, the addition of the US facility will complete global support for the company’s mineral casting machine foundation. Innovation for a Sustainable Future: By focusing on advanced technology and sustainability, Schneeberger offers critical components and solutions from a single source.
Leading the path of sustainable manufacturing
Mineral Cast, also known as polymeric concrete, leverages Schneeberger’s over 20 years of casting experience to combine quartz aggregates with industrial grade epoxy in application-specific recipes to produce machine bases with superior technical properties.
This technology is not only energy efficient, but also significantly reduces Co2 emissions compared to traditional machine-based materials. Compared to the production of cast iron or steel bases, polymeric concrete technology saves about 1.6 tonnes of emissions per tonne produced. Schneeberger’s mineral cast products further support our commitment to sustainability, are fully recyclable and guarantee certified recycling by regaining these bases and promoting the process.
With this expansion, Schneeberger is a victory for its customers, the environment and the region, while creating new jobs and promoting sustainable production.
“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the future,” said Stefan Hantke, CEO of Schneeberger Group. “By expanding one of our core technologies into the North American market, we are setting new standards for mechanical engineering while still close to our customers. The new location supports Schneeberger Group’s global growth strategy and North American expansion strategy (“local local”).
George Braha, president, general and member of the Executive Committee, explained: “The Schneeberger strategy for the local area is also pursued and completed in the field of polymeric concrete technology in this critical step. From 2026, customers will have full access to locations in Europe, China and the US.”
“Expanding production to the US… strengthening the supply chain, creating jobs, bringing exceptional quality and accuracy closer to where it matters most,” said Linda Aylward, general manager of North America.
By investing in Rock Hill, Schneeberger not only drives growth, but also drives the future of engineering with an efficiency, sustainability and a customer-focused approach.
