KUKA introduces the trends in automated machine tools at CMTS 2025

July 17, 2025 – Cukaro Robotics will experience the future of automated manufacturing with the latest robotic solutions for automated mechanical engineering sturdling from September 29th to October 2nd at the Canada Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), Canada Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), Canada Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), Canada Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), Canada Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), Canada Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), Canada Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), Canada Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS).

In Booth #729, Kuka explains how robots can drive productivity in today’s machine shops by automating the feeding of machine tools and material flow between machines. The booth’s mini factory consists of two lathes, each powered by a different Kuka robot in a pre-designed cell of system partner Weibo. KMP 600p AMR (Automatic Mobile Robot) moves materials and tools between cells as required in production schedules. In addition to Mini Factory, the KUKA robots from Additive Manufacturing Cell, Dyze Design’s system partner, leverages high precision and reach to 3D printed plastic parts.

Visitors to Kuka’s booth will be able to see Waybo’s turnkey Cyberdrawer automatic drawer feeding system, loading and unloading with pre-injected cells using Nakamura-Tome CNC Lathe from Elliott Canada using KR Cybertech Industrial Robot. CyberDrawer is compatible with most machine tools, is installed quickly, allowing the shop to easily move from machine to machine, providing more than 8 hours of autonomous operation for light-out production. The KR Cybertech series offers high-performance industrial robots designed for handling, assembling and machining applications with outstanding speed, accuracy and flexibility. With its compact design and high payload capabilities, these robots are optimized for space-saving operations in a variety of manufacturing environments.

Another Waybo Pre-Enyered Cell is a compact PartNR that uses the KR Agilus Industrial Robot to supply Siemens controlled lathes. The uniqueness of this cell is that the Siemens 828D controller controls both the lathe and the robot via Kuka’s Mxautomation and Siemens’s running Myrobot/Handling, providing factory staff not only for operation but also for programming and diagnostics.

The third component of the mini factory is the KMP 600P mobile platform for autonomous material handling, which transports parts and touring between cyber draw and part NR cells. The KMP 600P is KUKA’s most compact, high performance AMR, ideal for limited production spaces, offering 600 kg payload for efficient material transport, process links and reliable point-to-point delivery. This autonomous mobile robot offers excellent performance and price ratios, allowing for 24/7 operation with longer battery life.

KUKA System Partner Dyze Design’s additive manufacturing cell features KR Cybertech-2 robots in a live plastic parts printing demo. KR cybertech-2-integrated partner’s advanced typhoon high flow filament extruder ensures accurate, fast and consistent material deposition results. The 6-axis KR Cybertech model is rated for payloads in the 8-22 kg range and offers repeatability of ±0.04 mm in the reach range of 1,612-2,013 mm. They are compact, multifunctional robots with optimized controller structures that achieve smooth and sensitive motion characteristics in pass and positioning. KR Cybertech has the ability to install in almost any position, such as floor, ceiling, wall or angle, and its streamlined design, making it ideal for space-saving cell designs.

Like all company automation solutions, what is shown in CMTS 2025 is supported by KUKA’s professional services and training, complete system engineering and simulation, readily available spare parts, robot renovations and more. All of these features are easily accessible from the My.kuka.com site, and Kuka maintains corporate offices and production operations along with integrated partner facilities.
