Hormel Foods Corp.a global brand food company with annual revenues of around $12 billion in more than 80 countries around the world promoted John Gingo to presidential position, making him the 11th person in a role in the company’s nearly 135-year history.
Meanwhile, Jeffrey M. Ettinger, a current member of the Hormel Board of Directors, will return to the company for 15 months as interim CEO, temporarily replacing the chairman, president and CEO. Jim NeeWho is retired? Ettinger and Ghingo will take on their role on July 14th. Ghingo will also be on the board that day.
In its current position as retail EVP, Ghingo leads the company’s largest business unit and oversees its portfolio of consumer brands. He previously spent 15 years in various leadership roles at Mondelez International and was president of Applegate Farms LLC, a Hormel Foods subsidiary. With deep experience in the CPG industry, Ghingo brings a track record of driving growth and delivering results in the latest roles.
As president, he will lead the company’s global operations, supply chain, research and development, and corporate strategy functions, as well as directly overseeing the company’s retail, foodservice and international business segments.
