Alva will showcase a live demo at Automatica 2025 with Elmo.
Trondheim, Norway – June 18, 2025 – ALVA Industries (ALVA) presents a live demo at Automatica 2025 with Elmo. The demo features Alva’s Slimtorq Frameless Motors, powered by Elmo’s high-performance servo drive technology.
Seamless performance is the result of successful compatibility testing between the two companies, providing accurate control, efficient performance and smooth integration. The demo features a complete setup of Alva’s Slimtorq Fremens motor, fully installed in Alva’s booth (#512, Hall B6) and with Elmo’s Platinum Harmonica drive.
Nicolas Giraudo, Chief Commercial Officer at Alva Industries, said: “Their proven expertise in providing high-performance, reliable drivers and controllers across a wide range of applications is seamlessly aligned with the Slimtorq™ motor portfolio. Combining the accuracy and reliability of Elmo with Alva’s compact, light, accurate, and high-torque technology, we create a powerful Synery to maintain the existing presence of powerful Synery.
Continuingly, Elmo Motion Control’s VP Marketing Ronen Sadan said, “The collaboration with ALVA is truly innovative. Their unique motor technology adds a new level to many industrial applications. We encourage show visitors to see results with Automatica.”
The demo’s core is Alva’s Slimtorq motor series. It is a slotless, frameless motor designed to request motion control applications. Zero cogging, high torque density and large through holes make it ideal for medical devices, gimbals and robotics. Combined with Elmo’s compact, highly efficient servo drive, the result is a dynamic, reliable, and scalable motion solution.
Complementing this is Elmo’s Platinum Harmonica. This is an ultra-compact servo drive that offers up to 400 W of continuous power with over 99% efficiency. Operates with a VDC controlled supply of 12-60, it supports functional safety and offers up to 5 (3.5 A RMS) with peak currents up to 2x IC. When the output voltage exceeds 95% of the 22 kHz DC bus voltage, this compact unit is designed for applications that require high power density, smooth control, and reliable integration into space-constrained designs.
