Amazon uses AI Shopping Assistant to help customers around the world discover new products and make more informed purchase decisions.
In a June 17th message to employees, Andy Jassy, president and CEO of Amazon, praised Genai for its potential to make it easier for customers to live better. But Jassy also acknowledged that as technology weaves into almost every corner of the company, so does Amazon’s workforce.
“There are fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today, and more people doing other kinds of jobs,” he writes. “It will be difficult to know exactly where this is online over time, but over the next few years, this is expected to reduce the total workforce of businesses.
Jassy educated his employees about technology and “encouraged them to experiment with AI whenever possible. Join team brainstorming to understand how to invent faster and broader for customers and how to achieve more with the Scrappieer team.”
He continued: [who] It helps to build and improve AI capabilities internally and deliver them to customers.
