Best Buy On Thursday, we will be testing mini shawl rooms at several stores with IKEA products and showcasing kitchen design elements from home retailers next to electronics factories.
Starting this fall, the program will debut at 10 Best Buy Stores in Florida and Texas. Each store will be introducing a 1,000-square-foot IKEA “Shop-in-Shop” that introduces style kitchens and laundry rooms.
“By leveraging Best Buy’s leadership in equipment and technology by employing furniture expertise, products and services, creating a one-stop destination where customers can easily design their dream kitchen, storage solution or laundry space.”
The company did not disclose the financial aspects of the partnership.
Ikea is the Swedish flat pack furniture giant, and Best Buy is one of the top consumer electronic stores in the US.
This partnership comes as Best Buy is looking for new ways to attract shoppers.
The company has recently struggled with rising tariff pressures, soft demand for appliances, and slowing the housing market. Best Buy said tariffs have increased prices for some items this spring.
