This effort includes educating more than 5,000 team members on the new platform (over 38,000 hours of training) and onboarding at 21 manufacturing plants.
Steve Keil, director of program management at Clorox, said the upgrade will enable finance, supply chain and sales teams to share unified, real-time data to make faster, more informed decisions.
Previously, the company was using a 20-year-old legacy system. This eliminates silos and moves to a cloud-based structure that automates demand planning and production workflows. As a result, Clorox expects to benefit from increased supplier cooperation and responsiveness.
“With sharper insights and more connected data across our business, we are energized by the opportunities ahead to increase efficiency, grow profits and deliver superior value to consumers,” Keil said in a statement, adding that the ERP system will serve as Clorox’s digital backbone.
