Browsers with AI aren’t near the easy future they promise. However, makers of these browsers are trying to make life easier for users by adding a simple way to repeat prompts for frequently performed tasks.

The new DIA browser from the browser company already has skill features. This allows users to ask the browser to run the command, or create code snippets based on the prompt. For example, you can ask your browser to have an interesting event occurring in the nearest few days. You can save the prompt for future use and call it using a shortcut.

The community has put together several threads and web pages to help users find skills created by other users, but the browser company has now launched an official gallery for the 0.1 version. The gallery has many skills organized by category, all you need to do is copy the prompts and add skills to your library.

Perplexity’s new browser Comet is also preparing to launch similar functionality. Over the weekend, the company’s CEO Aravind Srinivas said that the browser will get ready-made shortcuts for recurring tasks like organizing tabs, preparing for meetings and searching for trending topics on social media.

A shortcut for repetitive tasks that will be repeated in comet next week. Other invitations will be sent next week as well. Your browser will be your personal console to get the job done. pic.twitter.com/xdzs8ezrhq

He also said that users can create their own “Tampermonkey-like scripts” using natural language prompts in common use cases.
