hygiene and health company essitywhich makes brands such as Tempo, Tork, Activimove and Cutimed, has hired Ilham Smaali to lead its supply chain efforts.
Mr. Sumaari will assume the role of chief supply chain officer on December 31st and will oversee the newly created supply chain enablement function. She will support the expansion of procurement and fulfillment operations and lead functional transformation and standardization efforts to enable decentralized supply chains and production protocols.

Mr. Smaali joined Essity in 2023 and most recently served as Vice President of Global Planning and Logistics. She brings a strong background in global manufacturing and supply chain leadership across the consumer goods and retail industries at companies such as Estée Lauder Cos., Nike, and P&G.
At P&G, she designed and launched an end-to-end supply chain synchronization program for eight hair care manufacturing locations, according to . linkedin. Prior to working at Essity, she most recently served as Vice President of Global Manufacturing for Estée Lauder.
“Her expertise and extensive experience, combined with her proven leadership skills, make her the right person to lead Essity’s supply chain enablement,” Essity President and CEO Ulrika Korsrud said in a statement.
As part of the management change, Mr. Sumaari will join the management team.
