Ferrero’s Growth Truck
Giovanni Ferrero, executive chairman of Ferrero Group, said in a statement that the two legacy companies have come together to combine a generation of loyal consumers. WK Kellogg has been in business for nearly 120 years, and Ferrero was founded over 75 years ago.
“In recent years, Ferrero has expanded its North American presence, bringing together famous brands from around the world together with local gems rooted in the US,” he added.

Earlier this year, Ferrero added a brand Power Crunch into its portfolio as part of an effort to expand in a better segment. This followed the acquisition of naturally fulfilling and eating in Europe. As a result of this continuous growth, Ferrero and affiliates in North America currently have over 14,000 employees, 22 factories and 11 offices. Battle Creek, Michigan will be headquartered at Ferrero, North American Cereal.

Alongside Ferrero’s expansion efforts, the broader consumer goods industry has undergone major integration and portfolio optimization. Global confectionery and pet food Mars recently secured US antitrust approval for Kellanova’s $36 billion acquisition proposal, behind the Kellogg split, which has produced manufacturers of brands such as WK Kellogg Independent business and Pringles.
But the trade is facing Strengthening scrutiny in Europeif regulators launch research into concerns, consumer prices could be higher. Mars expressed satisfaction with the US decision and said the transaction clears all regulatory hurdles except the EU, but is expected to close by the second half of 2025.
