Kraft Heinz Company has named a new top leader, selecting Steve Cahillane to replace Carlos Abrams-Rivera, who will step down on January 1st.
Abrams-Rivera will remain as an advisor through the transition process, which ends on March 6.
Kalilane, former president and CEO of Keranova, will become CEO of Global Taste Elevation following Kraft Heinz’s planned separation into two separate, publicly traded companies.
Regarding separation: The two businesses, Global Taste Elevation Co. and North American Grocery Co. (official name to be announced at a later date), will focus on shelf-stable foods and North American staples, respectively. The company said the separation will allow Kraft Heinz to maximize its capabilities and brands, reduce complexity and optimize resource allocation towards clear strategic priorities.
