Mahle Lifecycle and Mobility are expanding the range of training courses for trading partners, workshops and fleet operators.

July 17, 2025 – Marl’s lifecycle and mobility is expanding and restructuring the scope of its training courses. “The need to create sophisticated training opportunities for workshop technicians and wholesale employees is increasing,” said Philipp Grosse Kleimann, a member of the Mahle Management Committee and head of Mahle Lifecycle and Mobility. “With the inauguration of the new Global Training Centre in Stuttgart, we have successfully begun the global expansion of our sophisticated training structure.”
The facility has over 1,300 square meters of training space and five fully equipped workshop workshops, providing ample space to train up to 15 partners simultaneously under actual conditions. Mahle will use the Stuttgart model to set up new training centres in other countries such as France and Italy. Improved training structures include the Mahle Training Portal. Stakeholders can book training courses using this online platform, but they also have more access to technical user knowledge across the Mahle portfolio, from spare parts to workshop equipment.
“We consider ourselves to be a supplier of spare parts and workshop equipment, but we also look at it as a strong partner in our workshops with a comprehensive solution package that combines consulting, service and training,” says Philip Gros Clyman.
The increase in the inflow of alternative drive types such as battery electricity and hybrid vehicles in the independent spare parts market has expanded the scope of workshop tasks, including vehicle diagnostics, cooling circuit maintenance and battery system work. This is why Mahle’s Spare Parts and Services department chose the strategic location of the training centre, just next to the development and testing centre for the traction battery technology group.
“Mahle’s lifecycle and mobility is increasingly leveraging its internal capabilities to respond early to future developments in the independent spare parts market.” “We are actively looking for proximity to workshops and wholesalers to find out where our biggest needs for further training lie.”
Suitable for all situations
The improved Mahle Training Portal expands the scope of workshops and service provider training courses, providing targets and flexible opportunities for advanced training at any knowledge level.
Technicians and wholesale partners can choose free live online training courses available for qualified trainers directly to ask questions and exchanges, as well as short e-learning courses that can be used for the ability to convey basic knowledge and provide deeper technical knowledge. Additionally, visitors to the portal can quickly and easily book face-to-face training and have access to over 120 technical documents, including damage brochures and oil quantity manuals. Training offers are available in German, English, Polish and Portuguese. More languages are now in preparation.
