Mars Petcare has a new global president. The company has hired Mark Carena to lead the business, which includes a portfolio of brands such as Royal Canin, Pedigree and Whiskus.
He succeeds Loïc Mouto, a Mars veteran who has been with the company for 30 years.

Mr. Karenna previously served as regional president of Mars Snacking operations in Europe and Central Eurasia, where he also oversaw international travel retail.
He joined the company in 2022 from McDonald’s, where he led the Russian business and grew it into a top 20 market. His background includes experience in retail and FMCG, including Nestlé and the European Food and Beverage Association.
