July 3, 2025 – Arlington, VA – National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) is Master Control Systems, Inc. has announced that it is the latest company to obtain NEMA Make IT American certification.
Nema launched the Make IT American Certification program to help the market identify products and manufacturing facilities that have implemented best-in-class processes to meet Build America, Buy America (BABA) national content requirements. Master Control Systems, Inc, based in Lake Bluff, Illinois. is the sixth company that has obtained certification and demonstrates its commitment to domestic manufacturing.
MAKE IT American certification allows businesses to demonstrate that their processes and supply chain management systems are strict and third-party expert audited. This gives manufacturers, government agencies and procurement personnel more certainty and confidence to procurement personnel who are trying to procure material that enhances the level of content in US manufacturing. MasterControl System has certified the Lake Bluff, Illinois facility as Nema’s American Process Standard. NEMA offers certification for individual product specifications. Low-voltage power distribution equipment (LVDE) and wires and cables are now available, with increasing specifications in other product categories.

The NEMA’s Make IT American Certification program is a comprehensive initiative that includes precedent setting criteria, certifications and resources to help electrical manufacturers navigate domestic content requirements. Through these tools, NEMA enables manufacturers to make informed decisions, strengthen critical supply chains and support US infrastructure and economic growth. Companies that successfully complete accreditation audits will be marked to showcase rigorous supply chain processes, commitment to transparency, and enhanced domestic manufacturing footprints.
