new Stellantis CEO Antonio Firosa, who took over the top job a week ago, made his first major leadership move, encouraging Tim Kuniskis to oversee all American brands and lead North American marketing and retail strategy.
Kuniskis remains CEO of RAM. He currently plays a broader role in the company’s US business. Kuniskis, who came out of retirement seven months later, returned to Stellantis late last year after former Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares unexpectedly resigned later last year.
Stellantis also brings home the performance division of street and racing technology.
SRT combines engineers from Dodger, Jeep, RAM and Chrysler to focus on high-performance vehicles and motorsports.
“SRT is another box that needs to be checked,” Kuniskis said in a press release Wednesday. “We’re bringing the band back together.”
Kuniskis is also leading the launch of key products in RAM as part of its efforts to combat the decline in sales over the next few years. The brand is expected to launch 25 new products over the next 18 months.
Earlier this month, Kuniskis announced the return of its popular V-8 HEMI engine on its RAM 1500 full-size pickup truck. RAM is expected to deliver the engine again in early 2026.
