nike is revamping its senior leadership team, eliminating the chief technology officer position and changing roles and responsibilities.
Current Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Muge Dogan will be leaving the company. During his time at Nike, Dougan helped advance the company’s technology capabilities and shaped the way it incorporates digital, data and AI across its business, said Elliott Hill, president and CEO.

Instead, Venkatesh Alagirisamy, previously chief supply chain officer, will oversee technology efforts as part of the newly expanded role of EVP and COO starting December 8.
Mr. Alagirisamy, a 20-year veteran at Nike, will report to Mr. Hill and will more seamlessly connect operations and integrated technology capabilities to the end-to-end business. He will also continue to lead supply chain, planning, operations, manufacturing and sustainability operations.
“His experience, innovative thinking and team-first leadership style will be key as we continue to evolve into a more agile, technology-enabled Nike,” Hill said in a statement.
