Americans may spend more on popular barbecue items this July 4th at the prices of products like beer, outdoor folding chairs, and grill tools, according to a new congressional report.
The total cost of a typical food trip for cooking has increased by 12.7%, from the tariff announcement swept by President Donald Trump in April, according to an analysis of Democrat minority in the Joint Economic Committee. For 10 summer cookouts, price increases were calculated using consumer price index data for the most popular food and beverage items.
