Schneider Electric announces US winners of the 3rd Annual Sustainability Impact Awards

Boston, June 25, 2025 – Schneider Electric, a leader in digital transformation in energy management and automation, has announced the US recipients of the 3rd Annual Sustainability Impact Awards, recognising organizations exemplifying outstanding achievements in efficiency, innovation and digitalization. The winners cover data centers, information technology and infrastructure sectors.

The US winners of the 2024 Sustainability Impact Awards are as follows:

Compass Data Center: Awarded for groundbreaking innovations in data center design and operation. This involves optimizing maintenance using predictive AI, dramatically accelerate delivery and optimizing modular construction practices that reduce the total cost of ownership. Equinix: 250 of 260 data centers were awarded for achieving 96% global renewable energy coverage, providing 100% renewable energy coverage to its customers. Equinix also contributed to the development of new renewable energy for 1.2 GW through its Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), investing $51 million in energy efficiency in 2024, improving the global average power usage (PUE) by 6% compared to 2023. It reduces efficiency, emissions, and significantly improves manufacturing and logistics resource utilization. One new terminal from JFK: Integrate advanced microgrid technology and innovative energy management solutions to build one of the most resilient airport terminals in the United States, ensuring uninterrupted operation and improved passenger experience.

Now in its third year, Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Impact Awards honor partners, customers and suppliers to demonstrate measurable improvements through digitization and innovation. Entries are determined by their degree.

Strategy: Establish a clear roadmap for sustainability and a robust governance model. Digitalization: Use connected, data-driven solutions to monitor, manage and optimize resource usage. Decarbonization: Achieve verified energy savings, adoption of renewable energy, or reduction in emissions within the last 12 months.

This year’s US recipients will be recognized as preferred partners, supported by the sustainability initiative and obtain joint marketing materials along with the trophy.
