CEE (and its sister company Ray & Jules) develops and builds clean technologies for the food & beverage and building materials industries. Their innovations focus on roasting, drying and energy recovery. Recently, they introduced alternatives to traditional roasting, shifting from batches to highly accurate continuous processes. This approach uses 2-3 times the energy and facilitates electrification as it maintains a stable energy consumption pattern.
In 2017, they founded Ray & Joule as another sister company. This is the first coffee roaster to use net-zero emissions roaster technology. In 2019, Ray & Jules was launched as a brand. Since then, several large roasters have been following the lead, and the technology has also been applied to malts and cocoa. CEE leverages the Siemens Xcelerator platform to integrate software, hardware and automation to broaden the impact of sustainability.
The Digital Transformation Award recognizes sustainable digital companies that fully integrate digital technologies while achieving digital goals and streamlining processes faster, easier and at scale. Siemens celebrates the organization for a clear strategic vision of digital transformation using Siemens solutions and aligning technology initiatives with long-term goals and goals.
