The US president, amid rage between his bases, opens the door to reveal more information about the accused traffickers.
US President Donald Trump has expressed his support for the release of “reliable” files for the accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein amid rage among his supporters over his administration’s handling of the administration.
Trump said on Tuesday that U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondy should disclose “anything she thinks she can trust” about the government’s investigation as she tried to counteract the fierce backlash against political rights.
“She handled it very well, and it’s up to her,” Trump told reporters at the White House in Washington, DC last week, encouraging supporters to move on from the incident.
“Whatever she thinks she can trust, she needs to be released.”
Trump also claimed that the so-called Epstein films were “make-up” by former US presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, as well as former FBI director James Comey.
Trump repeated his support for the release of “trusted” information later Tuesday.
“Reliable information – let them give it,” he said. “I’ll say anything I can trust, let them have it.”
Trump’s Make America Great (MAGA) movement concluded last week that since the law enforcement memo was released, there was no credible evidence that Epstein had died of suicide and had either owned a “client list” or threatened strong numbers.
Epstein, who died in a Manhattan prison in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges, has been a source of intense theory and speculation over the years, including his murder and using sexual intimidation to compromise a powerful figure on behalf of the Intelligence Reporting Agency.
Theorization of Epstein is particularly enthusiastic in the Magakarcles, who will campaign for Trump’s reelection, expose the full scope of the crimes of the financiers who died and the crimes of his elite connections.
Because the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI memo contradict the most popular theory about Epstein, prominent Magazine followers accused the Trump administration of breaking their promises and taking part in a cover-up aimed at protecting Epstein’s fellow members, including the president himself.
“I want to make this very clear to the people on the right,” conservative commentator Matt Walsh said.
“We can’t drop it. We can’t move on.”
House of Representatives Republican Speaker Mike Johnson became the most powerful Trump ally on Tuesday, not adding to his voice to calls for greater transparency.
“We should put everything out there and let people decide,” Johnson said in an interview with conservative commentator Benny Johnson, adding that Bondy “we need to move forward and explain it to everyone.”
