Trump Team is seeking talks with Gislaine Maxwell amid Epstein’s pressure | Donald Trump News

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced that one of its top officials has called for a meeting with Gislaine Maxwell, a fellow imprisoned fellow of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

On Tuesday, Attorney General Pam Bondy issued a statement from her representative Todd Blanche. Todd Blanche explained that he is pursuing a meeting with Maxwell to ensure transparency in the government’s Epstein investigation.

“This Department of Justice does not move away from the responsibility of eschewing unpleasant truths or seeking justice where facts can lead,” Blanche said.

“President Trump has told us to release all the credible evidence. If Gislaine Maxwell has information about the person who committed the crime against the victim, the FBI and DOJ will hear what she has to say.”

Blanche’s statement comes as the Trump administration exacerbated the backlash from his base against the Epstein scandal.

On July 7, the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a memo saying there was no new evidence in the review of the Epstein case, including a “client list.”

But the discovery sparked a fuss among Trump. It came to my realization earlier this year that Bondi himself mentioned his client list “sitting at my desk now.”

Members of Trump’s base have long embraced conspiracy theories about the government’s highest level of sex offenders, with some people questioning the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death, speculating that it is a coordinated cover-up.

Authorities say the billionaire financier had a strong social circle – committed suicide in a Manhattan prison in 2019, when he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Maxwell, Epstein’s intimate and ex-girlfriend, has been in jail since his 2021 conviction against five federal charges related to her role in sexual abuse of minor girls.

“We will contact Ms Maxwell’s attorneys to determine if she is willing to speak to the prosecutors of the department,” Blanche said.

“I hope to meet Ms Maxwell in the next few days,” he added.

Maxwell’s lawyer David Oscar Marx confirmed that her legal team will “discuss with the government, and Gislaine will always be honest with him.”

“I appreciate President Trump for his commitment to reveal the truth in this case. There are no other comments at this time,” he said.

The update comes after Trump last week directed Bondi and Blanche to ask federal courts to establish a transcript of the Great Jue in both Epstein and Maxwell’s cases.

Trump supported the FBI and the Justice Department in his assessment earlier this month, but failed to produce new evidence of crimes about high-profile politicians and businessmen on Epstein’s trajectory.

One of the conspiracy theories circulating about the case is that Epstein used his sex trafficking ring to terrify a powerful person, but a July memo poured cold water on the claim.

“This systematic review revealed that the ‘client list’ was not guilty,” the memo said. “In addition, there was no credible evidence that Epstein had threatened a prominent individual as part of his actions.”

The situation sparked new scrutiny of Trump’s own long-standing relationship as well as well as well as well as well, as well as well as well as well as well, as well as a well-known member of Magazine Base accused the memo of unhappiness and inconclusiveness.

The president attempted to dismiss the protest, calling the controversy a “Epstein hoax” and denounced his supporters as “weak.”

It rarely halted the rage from some of the most influential voices of the Maga movement, which called for Bondi to resign.

Earlier this year, Bondy vowed that the Justice Department would release additional material, including “many names” and “many flight logs” in connection with Epstein’s clients.

However, information released by the department since Trump took office does not shed new light on the incident.

Trump himself had to contest media coverage over his relationship with Epstein. He recently filed a lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal after the newspaper reported on a “bawdy” letter that the newspaper wrote to Epstein for his 50th birthday.

Several of Trump’s officials have spent years speculating about the Epstein file, including FBI directors Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino.
