United Airlines The flight attendants voted for a new labor contract that calls for an immediate increase of at least 26% and other improvements in quality of life, their union said Tuesday.
The flight attendant’s final pay raise was in 2020. Their union, flight attendant association and airline reached a temporary agreement in May.
For years, flight attendants in the US have been calling for wage increases. Flight crew members from other airlines, pilots and other workgroups have secured new labor contracts in the wake of the pandemic.
“United flight attendants today voted to send a strong message to United Airlines management, rejecting a temporary contract that has not been advanced enough to address years of sacrifice and effort to make the airline today’s success.”
