Valmet provides Valmet DNA distribution control systems to bio-based process plants in Portugal.
July 2, 2025 – Valmet delivers Valmet DNA Distributed Control System to a bio-based process plant in Portugal. The order was placed by Tecnilab AV Portugal SA, Valmet’s new Value Added Reseller (VAR) partner. Valmet DNA replaces existing control systems as end customers expand production.
This order is included in Valmet’s order received in the second quarter of 2025. Its value will not be revealed. It will start until the end of 2025.
Valmet and Tecnilab AV have signed a valuable Reseller (VAR) agreement that will enable Tecnilab to provide Valmet’s distributed control systems (DCS) solutions to the process industries in Portugal, Spain and Africa except South Africa.
“Valmet DNA integrates all process automation needs under the same system that customers are expanding their production. The new system will help them achieve higher production and quality goals. Operators will benefit from the Valmet DNAE user interface, which can be easily operated even when there is more production.
“This partnership is a key step forward in growing presence within the process industry. TecnilabAV has already proven to be a reliable partner in wastewater measurement and is excited to expand its sharing capabilities and reach more customers.
Distribution Technical Information
Valmet DNA Distribution Control System (DCS) ensures consistent quality and reliable bio-based production. The system covers several process areas: soft, dry, grinding and side streams. Each process area has redundancy controlled and independent control.
The system includes a web-based Valmet DNAE user interface, operated from one centralized control room in each area and a dedicated control room for the process. The user interface provides the most meaningful information available to all process automation users, regardless of location, depending on their role.
