Markham, Ontario – June 19, 2025 – Weidmuller Ltd. Canada has announced the opening of a new office in Calgary, Alberta. Strategically located in southeastern Calgary, the new facility will serve as a regional hub for Widemallah in western Canada and will support operations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territory and Nunavut.
“For the past 50 years, our Canadian headquarters in Markham, Ontario has supported clients across the country,” said Gary Martins, Managing Director, Canada. “It’s now time to establish a commitment in Western Canada. The region has long been a strong market for us and has shown tremendous potential. Opening this new office reflects our continued commitment to the West and represents an exciting step towards deepening our relationships with our valued customers and partners throughout the region.”
Dedicated to supporting both customers and employees, the new Calgary office includes:
A dedicated workspace for local sales teams. A learning center designed for practical in-person product training. In an automation lab with the latest technology, teams can design, implement and test solutions using both simulation tools and real hardware. This collaborative space allows you to tackle complex automation challenges and develop customized solutions tailored to your specific needs.

The new Calgary office further strengthens Widemarler’s position as a trusted expert in automation and connectivity dedicated to driving innovation and customer success across Canada.
The grand opening welcomed over 150 participants, including distributors, customers, and employees from both current and former Widemaller. The event was characterized by the presence of key high-ranking officials, including Dr. Christian von Toll, Chief Sales Officer of Weidmüller Group. Lukas Kirstgen, Vice President of the German Chamber of Industry and Industry in Canada. Nathan Neudorf of the Alberta government and Thomas E. Smith of the Alberta government. Their participation, along with the participation of valuable stakeholders, highlighted the importance of this new office’s region and Widemallar’s continued growth in Canada.
As part of the celebration, Weidmuller proudly dedicated his new learning center to the late Terry Hodgson, former vice president of Weidmuller Americas. A respected leader and leader, Terry has organised for over 20 years in a variety of leadership roles.
