October 8, 2025 – Wieland Electric, in collaboration with Ross Controls, a world leader in safety solutions for fluid power and poppet valve technology, is proud to announce the newly added TÜV certification training course “CFSE – Certified Functional Safety Expert in Electrical and Fluid Power Systems.”
This 5-day intensive course is designed for engineers, designers, developers, maintenance engineers, and safety personnel who want to enhance their functional safety expertise. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills to implement functional safety measures throughout the CE process in accordance with international standards.
The curriculum of this internationally accredited course is built around the CE process and covers the full spectrum of machine safety. It covers basic standards, risk assessment according to EN ISO 12100, and performance level calculations.
In addition, the course covers the proper application of safety-critical sensor technology according to standards and verification and validation processes according to EN ISO 13849-2. Through our partnership with Ross Controls, Wieland Electric ensures that this course covers not only electrical safety, but also pneumatic and hydraulic safety techniques. The modular structure allows for flexibility in adapting the content and duration of the training to suit participants’ previous experience and specific needs.
Benefits of this certification include cross-industry recognition as a qualified functional safety professional and the ability to demonstrate advanced expertise with minimal time investment. In addition, participants will gain practice-oriented recommendations from industry experts, enabling seamless transfer of knowledge to effectively carry out CE processes according to the latest standards. The certificate is valid for four years and can be renewed for an additional four years through a one-day renewal seminar.
